Carpet, upholstery, rug and tile cleaning. Brennan family since 1965.
Truck-mounted steam cleaning that pulls the dirt out, not just around
The machine stays in the van. Only the hose and the wand come inside your home. Hotter water, stronger vacuum and no chemical residue, from a family that has cleaned carpets in Hamilton for three generations.

What we clean
Every job uses the same truck-mounted system. The difference is in how each surface is prepared, the temperature and pressure the fabric or fibre can take, and how it is rinsed and dried.

Why does truck-mounted cleaning get carpets cleaner?
A truck-mounted unit runs off the van's own engine or a dedicated motor, so it heats water hotter and pulls a far stronger vacuum than a portable machine that plugs into a wall outlet. Hotter water dissolves more soil, and stronger suction removes more of the dirty water, so carpet dries faster and stays cleaner longer.
Portable extractors have their place. They fit in an elevator and they clean a single sofa well. For whole homes, stairs, offices and anything with years of embedded soil, the truck-mount is the tool built for the job. The full explanation, with what it means for drying time and for your carpet warranty, is on the truck-mounted steam cleaning page.
| What matters | Truck-mounted (DeepSteam.ca) | Portable or rental unit |
|---|---|---|
| Where the machine sits | In the van. Only the hose and wand come inside. | In your living room, plugged into your outlet. |
| Water temperature | Heated continuously by the unit, so it stays hot for the whole job. | Limited by a small tank heater or the hot tap; cools as the job runs. |
| Vacuum recovery | High-lift vacuum through a large hose; more water out means faster drying. | Weaker recovery; carpet stays wetter for longer. |
| Dirty water | Captured in the van's recovery tank and taken away. | Emptied in your sink or toilet, bucket by bucket. |
| Noise and power inside | Quiet indoors; no strain on your electrical circuits. | Loud indoors; can trip breakers on older wiring. |

Hot water extraction is the method the Carpet and Rug Institute means when it says to "professionally deep clean your carpets every 12 to 18 months", and the method Shaw Floors names when it tells carpet owners to "schedule a professional hot water extraction (steam cleaning) anywhere from 6-18 months, depending on traffic."
Half done, on purpose
These are our own jobs, photographed mid-clean so you can see the line where the wand has been. No stock photos, no filters.

Upholstery. A damask armchair, top half cleaned. The pattern was there the whole time.
Office carpet tiles. One pass of the wand, and the tiles turn out to be two shades lighter.
Logo entrance mat. Eagle Ridge Golf Club. Entry mats take the worst of every season.
Seat cushion. Cream fabric, front half untouched. This is what body oils and daily use look like.
Three generations, one standard
DeepSteam.ca is run by Grant Brennan, grandson of Kieran Brennan Sr., who started Aberdeen Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning in Hamilton in the 1960s. Grant's father, Keirn Brennan Jr., turned it into a specialist carpet and upholstery company in the 1970s and still runs it today with Grant's mother, Cindi, handling the office.
Grant grew up in the business and branched out under his own name to bring truck-mounted steam cleaning to a wider area, from Grimsby east into Niagara. Same training, same standards, and the same phone manners you get from a family that has answered its own calls for sixty years.

Textile Pro Certified: specialist training in the fibres, dyes and construction of area rugs, so wool and hand-knotted pieces are cleaned the way their makers intended.

What customers say about the Brennans' work
"Kieran was very professional and personable while tending to our long-neglected couch and chairs. He explained the process while performing the cleaning, and even managed to fix the wear and tear left by our mischievous pets."
Sebby Catelin, Google review of Aberdeen Carpet Cleaning"We just had two expensive wool area rugs cleaned by Aberdeen cleaners and couldn't be happier with the results! The largest rug had a very noticeable pet stain that I tried to take care of myself (just made it worse) and now it is almost invisible."
Pat Harris, Google review of Aberdeen Carpet Cleaning"As a general contractor, we're very particular about the trades and services we bring into our projects... Every time they're on site, they leave the home clean, tidy, and comfortable for the homeowner to live in right away."
Dan Hamilton, Google review of Aberdeen Carpet Cleaning
These are public Google reviews of Aberdeen Carpet Cleaning, the Brennan family company Grant trained in and still works alongside. Aberdeen is also listed among the Three Best Rated carpet cleaners in Hamilton. DeepSteam.ca's own Google reviews are collected on Grant's Business Profile as the new company builds its record.
Where we go
Based in Grimsby, on the QEW between Hamilton and St. Catharines. That puts most of the Golden Horseshoe and the Niagara Peninsula within a reasonable drive, and the van carries its own water and power so nothing about your building has to be ready for us.

How pricing works
Carpet is priced by the room or area, upholstery by the piece, rugs by size and fibre. Grant confirms the price before any work starts, and the price he quotes is the price you pay unless you add rooms on the day.
